Our site is always filled with the things we love, so it makes sense that we are excited for Valentine’s Day, a day to show our love to those we care for. Yes some people think that this is a day for couples only, but our family has always celebrated this as a day of appreciation and love for one and other, as well as for that special someone in your life. Kids get it, they give Valentine’s Day cards to their whole class, because friendship is love too.
If there is one thing we know about life after Y2K, it’s that everyone could use a little love in their lives. Sharing a hug, a laugh, or a listen with a friend or even a stranger can make a world of difference. So keep the spirit of Valentine’s Day alive, show the world you care, and share a little love with those around you.
Now that we have gotten that message out there, we also want to be helpful. We too have scoured the internet on an annual basis looking for the perfect gift, whether it is a D I Y or a B U Y, for our other half. You want to give them something that says, I think about you, you mean something to me, let’s snuggle. Our go to place for this is typically a combination of Google, Amazon, Etsy, and Pinterest. And a coupon book for cuddles, or gas station flowers won’t always cut it.
Comedic Relief
Nothing says true love like having a sense of humour, a relationship that keeps you giggling is likely to go the distance. Send a heartfelt chuckle with one of these punny gifts.
Sometimes a card is all you can afford, consider what the card is saying. Make sure what you choose is meaningful and will send the message that it was selected for that person specifically, and then take 10-15 minutes and really think about what you write inside. It is usually easier to write the things we feel, then say them out loud.
Super Personal Gifts
Having a hard time finding something that is really personal enough, how about a sound wave print of your voice with a meaningful saying or line from their favourite song. Here are two thoughtful items for the big spoon and the little spoon, and for the person who has everything … their own peanut butter spoon.
For the Lovers
Massage oil, need we say more, also here is a helpful link to learn a few essential massage techniques for those of us who aren’t professionals, but don’t want to injure the person we are massaging. Enjoy your night in.
